About Us.

OUR MISSION.

The mission of Emerge Film Festival is to build awareness of independent films and to support a diverse cross-section of filmmakers, from established to “emerging” artists, from Maine, the U.S. and the world. We aim to promote the motion picture arts and to provide educational arts and culture opportunities for student filmmakers, the Lewiston/Auburn community and beyond.

OUR PURPOSE.

The purpose of this nonprofit organization is to conduct an annual film festival in the Lewiston/Auburn community, which highlights films made in Maine alongside national and international films. In addition to providing an opportunity for filmmakers to share their films and for local audiences to enjoy the works presented, Emerge Film Festival serves as a way to introduce attendees from outside the area to all that Lewiston/Auburn has to offer and to have a positive impact on the local economy.

OUR TEAM.

The Emerge Film Festival resides under Gendron Franco Center for Heritage and the Performing Arts a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. It is led by a volunteer group of members, comprising dedicated and passionate business leaders and filmmakers.
